We could have stayed at this park for hours on Saturday.  Not only was the weather exquisite and the setting ideal, but this baby girl was shining!  For over an hour she smiled and giggled and lit up with her parents.  She is full of joy and laughter, and when she smiles, it’s a full body smile.  Her entire body shakes with happiness.  She bounces and squeals.  She’s the perfect little 11 month old!

We got tons of fabulous images together on Saturday, and we could have kept going.  A photographer’s dream!  It was a real pleasure.

Happy New Year!  There is not a better way to welcome the new year than to welcome a gorgeous new baby!

I was thrilled to meet my 5 week old niece over the holiday.  I had the true joy of spending time with the whole family in the home documenting their life as they prepared for their photos, taking some pictures of everyone together and the baby alone, and then teaching my sister-in-law and brother about their new DSLR camera.  Sidenote Parents with young children–  invest in a DSLR.  It doesn’t have to be super fancy; it just has to have a fast shutter speed to catch all your litte ones’ expressions!

Little baby sister is so well loved.  Their community has outpoured with love (love those pictured mugs!), her parents dote on her every move, her brother is proud, and her sister is just beside herself-hugging, kissing, stroking, all-eyes-on-deck kind of love.  It’s the kind of love that makes you teary-eyed because it’s so lavish and good and right.

I hoped to capture just a bit of what this new family of 5 is like now.  Enjoy this peek!

As it is hailing out my window, I’m working through the beautiful images from this weekend.  It was so colorful, sunny, and splendid!  And, to top it all off, I had the pleasure of meeting this new family of three who is completely in LOVE.  It’s not uncommon to see the love the parents have for their children during a photo session, and I definitely saw that.  What struck me most on Saturday morning, though, was the palpable love these parents have for each other.  Their deep joy was so evident and inspring to me!

I loved working with them and meeting their sweet baby girl.  Her big blue eyes, happy spirit, and cuddles are PRECIOUS.  And, she is growing fast.  We saw her start to crawl during this session!

Meet my friend and her beautiful family.  She is warm and kind and has a sense of style that is to be envied.  She brings a Southern charm to this city that at times really needs it!  She and her husband have created such a beautiful home and family, and it was a joy to meet them there and documents their precious lives.

Meet her first born, her golf-loving son.  He is the big brother, although he is still just a babe himself.  Bright blue eyes, a sporty spirit, and cuddler at heart.

Meet her second born, her perfect daughter.  She is still so tiny but has a million dollar smile and a strong spirit to match it.  It’s fun to think of all wonderful traits she will have as her personality emerges.

I had the real pleasure of meeting this sweet baby this week.  3 months and growing fast!  She’s full of smiles and snuggles and chubby rolls and sweet coos.  3 month olds are just so fun to photograph.  Pure love!

Her parents are pretty excellent as well.  You know the type of people that are easy to be with?  Comfortable, easy going, and interesting?  Yep, that’s them!

I really looked forward to meeting this little guy. I’ve known his mom for over 10 years… in fact, we were high school cheerleaders together in Texas!  She was someone I always looked up to and admired, and she’s still that impressive woman today.

It was fun to reconnect with her up here and meet her husband and 1 year old son. He’s precious and reminds me so much of his sweet mom.

This sweet 8 month old is happy, and we know it!  At a typical session, I will click my shutter about 300 times.  Yesterday, as we wandered through Brookside Gardens, chatting and posing and enjoying the beautiful gardens, I snapped 500 images of this happy girl!  I didn’t know it at the time, she just made it so fun for me to take her picture.  What a joy!

As I told her parents, I love my job.  I love meeting such interesting and kind people, singing silly songs to make babies smile, and sharing beautiful images of their loved ones with them.  Enjoy these sweet images of this wonderful family.

When his mom told me he was on the move, she wasn’t kidding!  This little guy has 1 speed, and it’s FAST!  It was fun playing with him yesterday.  I loved watching him move, explore, laugh at the dogs, and give big smiles as his parents tried to catch him.  (Tell him to run one way, he laughs, and runs the other!)  He was on an adventure, and we had the pleasure of enjoying it with him.

I met up with this little 1 year old yesterday on her first birthday.  What a big day it is for her and her family.  Every birthday is special, but nothing beats the milestone of the first.

She is precious, sweet, and well loved by her family.  She also wowed up all by standing by herself for an extended time– so new, so confident, and so proud!

Happy Birthday, sweet girl!  Enjoy your big party today!

In just 3 months, this baby has just about doubled her size and learned how to laugh.  I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything quite like it as such a young age!  But when her grandfather gets going, she lights up and giggles and giggles.

It was fun meeting her as a newborn infant, but watching her grow might even be more satisfying.  She’s precious, her parents are awesome, and I love spending time with them all.
