Whether it be summer, spring, winter, or fall, birthdays are a great time to update your family portraits.  And spring blooms provide such an excellent setting.

I met up with these friends yesterday morning on the Landon campus in Bethesda as we celebrated all 5 of their birthdays.  All have spring time birthdays!  It was a quiet and beautiful setting.  The clouds even parted to give us some warm sunshine for a bit.

I’ve enjoyed knowing this family for the past year.  I met them when this little man was born. I took his photos then, but at that time, this blog didn’t exist yet.  (Some are included in my baby gallery though!)  Then, I caught him again last summer as we explored Glen Echo (see here), and now that he’s one, he’s up and (almost!) running.  His big sisters are growing up to be darling little ladies, and together they make a perfect crew.
