October 30, 2011 Happy Halloween!

We loved the snow on Saturday.  We rested, lounged around the house, and made a pumpkin pie.  But don’t get me wrong, we were thankful the sun came back out today.  We were eager to get out around town to start our Halloween festivities.

I hope it’s a fun time for all — Happy Halloween!  Love, Tangled and Lambie

Today we had a family day. My husband doesn’t work on Friday, we yanked my oldest daughter from school, and we drove up to Baltimore. My sister-in-law and her husband and their adorable son are in the area for a wedding, so we planned a family trip to the Baltimore Aquarium. It is as impressive as I had heard! A definite “must” for anyone in our area.

I had hoped to take more pictures of my nephew and the cousins together, but the day got away from us. Too many things to talk about, too many hands to hold, and too many fish to watch. So, here’s what I’ve got from the day. A little bit silly, especially the one of C hiding behind a Stewie doll . . . yes Stewie from the “The Family Guy.” She adopted him as her baby for the day. icon smile My Family *DC Family Photography

They were fun and cute together, and visiting our sweet nephew was a real joy. Keep warm this weekend. Are we really going to get snow tomorrow?

Yesterday afternoon was beautiful, right?  The sun was warm, the air was crisp, and the trees were glowing at the Woodend Nature Sanctuary.  And to top off the afternoon, these three children were delightful, fun, and really kind.  We played with the leaves, blew the cotton plants (I know they aren’t really cotton plants, but they looked like cotton plants.  Anyone know what they really are?), and snapped some pretty shots at the same time.

This photo session was for their dad’s birthday, which is a really cool idea. I know he’s proud–his family is beautiful!

Thanks, you all, for being so wonderful and fun.  It was a delight.  I hope you enjoy!

I spent this beautiful Fall morning playing with these two precious boys and their wonderful parents.  We ran, tossed balls, pushed cars, pushed pumpkins, collected leaves, threw leaves, ran, read a book, and ran some more.  Full of life, full of laughter, and full of energy!

As parents, we know that time with our little ones is fleeting.  So, I was joyed to help capture this special time for them today.  I love the innocence and wonder of these boys and their exploration, it’s so unique and inspiring.  I hope you all enjoy these beautiful pictures for years to come!

Having a child changes everything. You learn that your heart can love more than you ever knew. Love just glows out from you to your new baby. It’s a new day, a new stage in life. And this family exemplifies this love. They are smitten; their little boy is pure JOY.

I had the privilege of taking his pictures when he was about 1 week old. He was precious then, and is even cuter now! Snuggly, sweet, with eyes that sparkle. What a pleasure it was to see him and his very cool parents again.

You guys are awesome! Thanks for a fantastic session. Enjoy!

September was one gloomy month for our area.  Rain, rain, and some more rain.  And when it wasn’t raining, it was cloudy and overcast.  But all that has changed this week, and we’ve got sunlight to play in.  So outside we went to soak in the rays.

These are my lovely daughters, and don’t ask what the younger one is wearing.  The older is holding fast to summer, and the younger daughter is raiding her sister’s closet.  It’s too much for me to manage these days!

Cheers to the golden sun and to a great kick-off to the holiday card season!  Hear, Hear!
