After a week with an earthquake, a hurricane, and a sick child, I welcome this week’s theme “White” at I Heart Faces.  White is clean, fresh, and new.  I love it, and I love how the way it makes me feel in this image.  A clean happy baby with a fresh start in life.  With her mama’s love, this little girl has it made.

It’s pet week at I Heart Faces.  This protective pup would not leave this newborn’s side.  It was super sweet!

At 7:30 this morning, I walked to my car and gave my neighbor a wave.  He knew I was off to a photo session with all my gear.  The air was cool, the sun was fresh, and the ground was still wet from a huge storm last night.

I pulled up to the home and promptly met this beautiful family.  They looked beautiful, and sweet baby Evelyn was all smiles.  Her smiles were contagious!  Her happy demeanor brings a smile to everyone’s face.

As I parked my car back home, my neighbor asked, “How’d the shoot go?”  I said, “Perfect!  It’s hard to mess things up when the baby is so wonderful!”  And it was true.  This family exuded love and it was easy to capture.

I’ve learned so much from the I Heart Faces community.  It’s a such a valuable resource for shutter bugs of all levels.  This week’s theme is eyes. I couldn’t think of a more stunning and connected pair of eyes than these.  She’s a beauty!

What an outstanding birthday gift for this special Granddad.  For his birthday, he got a photo session with his family.  A special time to document and remember life as it is today.  Lots of smiles, kisses, screams, and even some tears.  Life as it really is with growing children!

I hope you can look back at these images and reflect on the beauty of your family in the years to come.  You have a precious family.  I know you are very proud.

I like to book family sessions on Saturday morning.  It’s still cool out, the light is great, and the whole family can be together.  That’s what I usually like to do.

But not today.  Today is my family day.  Today is our 6 year anniversary.  And we started it out right with a bike ride to Dunkin Donuts.  Yum!

Here we are taking full advantage of our camera timer.  I LOVE the self timer! Don’t be afraid to use it and use it often.  It’s a fun way to capture a moment with everyone together.  It’s rarely perfect, but it’s fun and does the job.
